Sally Greenhaw of Montgomery has pledged $20,000 to establish The Sally and Wayne Greenhaw Endowed Scholarship in the College of Arts and Sciences. The fund will support scholarships for incoming students from Montgomery or Crenshaw counties. Greenhaw is a former Montgomery County circuit judge and a 1964 graduate of The University of Alabama. Her late husband, Wayne, was a prolific writer who won numerous awards for his books including the Harper Lee Award for Alabama’s Distinguished Writer. He died in 2011.
