Jeffery A. Levitetz Creates Scholars Program Fund in New College

Jeffrey A. Levitetz, of Boca Raton, Fla., has given $10,000 to the College to create the Levitetz Scholars Program, which will award scholarships to students in New College. Levitetz, a New College alumnus, is the founder and chair of Purity Wholesale Grocers, one of the largest private companies in Florida. In 2011 he contributed $20,000 toward the Jerry Rosenberg Endowed Scholarship. The scholarship honors longtime New College professor Dr. Jerry Rosenberg, who retired in January 2012. Levitetz gave the Helen Crow Mills and John Carroll Mills Lecture at UA in September 2010.
