Walter B. Jones Memorial Endowed Scholarship
ELIGIBILITY: Consideration given to full-time geology majors, undergraduate or graduate, resident of Alabama, and awarded on basis of demonstrated academic performance; financial need, not necessarily as defined by federal guidelines, is a consideration secondary to quality, leadership, and citizenship; records of the recipient shall be reviewed annually and he/she will be eligible to retain the scholarship for the succeeding year provided the scholarship committee deems the holder to be more qualified than the other applicants; is normally awarded to a participant in summer field course in geology.
