Lottice Howell Memorial Scholarship
ELIGIBILITY: Preference is given to an entering freshman from Hale County, Ala., majoring in one of the fine arts; the following selection order will be applied: theatre (preference given to "musical theatre"), music, dance, creative writing and art; renewable as long as the student maintains a credible undergraduate academic record.
Hugh Kaul Foundation Endowed Undergraduate Initiative Scholarship*
ELIGIBILITY: Preference given to full-time entering freshmen from the Greater Birmingham Metropolitan Area, Coosa or Clay Counties in Alabama.

ELIGIBILITY: Priority is given to worthy students pursuing degrees in the College; the fund was established in 1963 from an estate gift to the University.
Ruth K. Larcom Society for the Fine Arts Scholarship
ELIGIBILITY: High-school seniors must submit a competition portfolio for review by the faculty of the Department of Art; competition is held in conjunction with the Annual Alabama High School Art Awards each year.
