If you have a specific major or area of academic interest,
the major advisor will be your primary advisor beginning
with the first semester. With the exception of Bama Bound,
you must meet with your major advisor prior to each
semester’s registration in order to be cleared to register.

If you are interested in a major, contact the department for more information. Each department will be able to assign you to an advisor. Declaration of the major or minor is not required to speak with a major advisor.
