Honors Day
|
|
Each Spring the University sets aside a day to recognize
its students' accomplishments. The Department takes this opportunity
to hold a luncheon reception on the balcony, to honor that
year's Silverstein
Scholars.

Welcome Back Event
|
|
Near the start of past Fall semesters, the Department hosted
a reception on the balcony of Manly Hall.

Presently, the semester starts off in August with the Department
stocking cool drinks and treats outside class to welcome students
back.

Get On Board Day
|
|
Each Fall and Spring semester opens with a day when campus-wide
student organizations peddle their wares and try to convert
impressionable freshman to their cause. Not to outdone, REL
students have been attending for several years though we only
have recent photographic evidence to prove it.

Balcony Bash
|
|
As if they didn't have enough to do, whatwith school and

hang out on our 19th century balcony, so...

The Manly Cup
|
|
Unbeknownst to many of those roaming the balconies, the Religious
Studies Student Association and Theta Alpha Kappa warred against
one another for years, from 1928 to 1983, from pencil sharpening
relays to popcorn eating showdowns. Twenty-six years following
their initial truce, competition broke out again, and this
time, they baked.
