Dr. Alvin Goldman, Rutgers, will present “Knowledge and Democracy – How Social Epistemology Bears on the Success of Our Democracy” Thursday night, April 26, at 7:30 PM in 205 Smith Hall.

Dr. Alvin Goldman is a professor of Philosophy at Rutgers University in New Jersey. He will present “Knowledge and Democracy-How Social Epistemology Bears on the Success of Democracy” Thursday, April 26. Dr. Goldman has done influential work on a wide range of philosophical topics, but his principal areas of research are epistemology, philosophy of mind, and cognitive science. He has authored numerous articles and books such as Knowledge in a Social World, Pathways to Knowledge: Private and Public, and Simulating Minds.
