Dr. Wrenn received his B.A. in philosophy from the University of Alabama in 1996, and he received M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in philosophy from Washington University in St. Louis, the latter in 2001.
His doctoral dissertation was Truth and the Normativity of Naturalistic Epistemology, and he continues to work on the problems and prospects of understanding cognitive excellence as a natural phenomenon. His main areas of teaching and research include epistemology, logic and cognitive science, and he has published his work in such journals as The Philosophical Quarterly, The Southern Journal of Philosophy, and Pacific Philosophical Quarterly.
Dr. Wrenn is an affiliated faculty member with the Cognitive Psychology program, and he is the director of the philosophy department's undergraduate Mind and Brain specialized minor.
