Philosophy Today Speaker Series (2007 -- 2008)
During 2007 -- 2008, the Department of Philosophy, the College of Arts and Sciences, philosophy alumni and various friends of the Department will sponsor "Philosophy Today," a series of public talks by six prominent philosophers:

In addition to delivering a non technical public address on the current state of work in their respective specialties, each speaker will conduct a professional colloquium for the philosophy faculty and majors.
The First Annual Philosophy Alumni Lecture
Sponsored, in part, by philosophy alumni and friends of the Department, the public lecture on philosophy of religion will also be the first Annual Philosophy Alumni Lecture. In addition to a public address and colloquium, this year's lecturer will also teach a class in Dr. Hestevold's upper-level seminar on philosophy of religion.
All students, faculty, and members of the community and cordially invited and encouraged to attend the public talks, which will all begin at 7:30 PM in 38 Lloyd Hall.
