This year the TTC Turkey Trot 5K will be entirely enclosed within the new Jaycee Park with paved running path, 200 person capacity shelter, and restroom facilities. We encourage more children to enter, and especially those in the Achilles Kids Foundation. The Jaycee Park offers a safe place without traffic for everyone to enjoy walking, running, or rolling. The race is sponsored by The Athlete's Foot, which is opening a new store on November 15 in the new Midtown Village shopping mall in Tuscaloosa. There will be T-shirts for the participants, shoes given away as door prizes, a live radio remote broadcast and catering by Dreamland BBQ the day of the race in addition to the usual turkey awards and age group awards.
Registration starts at 7:30 AM at the Jaycee Park shelter, where the race starts (day-of registration only).
Race Start Times
The men’s
division 5K starts at 8:30 and the women’s at 9:15 (or later if needed).
There will be a 1/2 mile fun run/walk/wheelchair for anyone after the women
are finished. If there are small kids wanting to do the 5K, they will go in
the women’s heat since it is usually less crowded.
Awards
First overall and open and masters male and females get turkeys, open male and
female 2nd and 3rd place winners get turkey statue trophies. Male and female
5-year age groups (1st, 2nd, 3rd) will receive special awards. Special award

This is a Tuscaloosa Track Club Grand Prix of West Alabama event.
