Notes:
When counting days, you can use the exact same words as the calendar date except for "1 day." You can add the suffix "kan" when counting days or expressing the age of something in days, or leave it off. You must use "kan" when counting weeks. The kanji for kan is 間.
There are two ways to write ~kagetsu in kanji:
ikkagetsu (one month) = 一ヶ月 or 一か月

Notes:
When counting age, you will use regular onyomi numbers + age counter sai (才) except for "20 years old" which is a special age. Can you guess why? Twenty is the age in Japan when こども (children) become おとな (adults).
If the person or animal is under one year old, use the day, week, or month counters above.
To be more specific, you can express ages such as さんさい にかげつ (3 years and 2 months old).
