How to Apply

You will need to apply directly to the Graduate School of the University of Alabama. Once you're accepted...

1) First, you will need to find out the specific requirements for your major.  The University of Alabama graduate catalog lists the relevant information, and the history department portion may be found here.  Next, you will need to register.  The complete schedule of classes is posted by the University here.

2) You will need to secure housing.  The housing department has a wonderful site showing floor plans, interiors, and exteriors of each of their buildings.  Their site supplies information on how to apply.


Alternatively, you may consider off-campus housing.  Here are several links detailing local apartment listings. 3) You may want a food plan.  The University food service lists information on them here.

4) If you own a car, you will need a parking decal.  Contact University Parking Services for further information.
