| A wide diversity of courses in freshwater biology,
ecology, and systematics is offered within the Department of Biological
Sciences. Several aquatic-related courses are available in other
departments such as Geology (Isotope Geology,
Hydrogeology, Aqueous Geochemistry, Paleoecology, Environmental
Geology), Civil
Engineering (Hydrology, Aquatic Environmental Chemistry),
Geography (Drainage
Basin Dynamics, Remote Sensing, Image Processing and GIS), and the
Law School (Environmental Law). The Dauphin
Island Sea Lab provides year-round individual and
classroom instruction in Marine Science at the graduate level. Students
in residence have an opportunity to interact with faculty and students
from other graduate programs from the state, the nation, and from
abroad. For a listing of upcoming course offerings, visit www.as.ua.edu/Biology/escourseschedule.htm
