You have two advisors--a major advisor and a College advisor.
Your major and College advisors have simliar roles but different responsibilities.
Major Advisor
A faculty member in your major department who will help you understand and become engaged in your selected academic major. Major advisors work with students who have formally declared their majors and those who have designated a major of interest in mybama but have not formally declared the major. Check your current program in mybama.
A general advisor (located in 200 Clark Hall) who will help you understand the different degree requirements and assist you in integrating the parts into a meaningful whole. College advisors work with pre-major, pre-professional (pre-law, all pre-health careers, and pre-criminal justice) majors.
