Search Tips

1. Wild Card: australo* selects pages with australoptihecus, australopithecines, australopiths, etc.

2. Quotation marks: "homo neanderthalensis" selects pages containing the binomen Homo neanderthalensis, but not the subspecies Homo sapiens neanderthalensis.

3. Boolean operators: To choose pages about chimps and gorillas but not orangs, use INCLUDES chimp* AND gorilla* AND NOT orang*.

4. Terms must be at least 4 characters in length; i.e., and will be ignored, but and* will match Androstenedione, Andes, etc.
