Outstanding Dissertation and Thesis Awards and Master's Research Award
The most significant honors awarded by The University of Alabama to its Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Arts students are the Outstanding Dissertation Award, the Outstanding Thesis Award, and the Excellence in Research by a Masters Student Award. Each year the various Colleges select winners of these awards who then enter into competition with one another for the overall Outstanding Dissertation and Thesis of the University and the University Excellence in Research Award by an M.A. student.
