  1. The frequency of tasters (TT or Tt) is 352/550 = 0.64 = 64%.
    Therefore, the frequency of nontasters (tt) = 1 - 0.64, or 36%.

    If the frequency of tt  = .36, then the frequency of t,
    the non-tasting allele = the square root of 0.36 = 0.6,
    and T = 1 - 0.6 = 0.4

  2. Frequency of Homozygous tasters (TT): p2 = (.4)2 = 0.16
    Frequency of Heterozygotes (Tt): 2pq = 2(.4)(.6) = 0.48
    Frequency of Homozygous non-tasters (tt): q2 = (.6)2 = 0.36
