Aaron Vold is responsible for leading the College's fundraising efforts
for the "Our Students. Our Future." capital campaign and is the primary
contact for major gifts and donor relations for the College. He held a
similar position at UA's Capstone College of Nursing, where he served as
director of advancement. He is a two-time graduate of The University of
Alabama where he earned a bachelor's degree in public relations and a
master's degree in business administration.

Rebecca Florence is responsible for media relations and Dean’s Office communications. She works with Dean Olin and the associate deans on special College initiatives and issues and directs the production of College publications. Her development responsibilities include management of the Office of Development and Public Relations, serving as liaison to the College of Arts and Sciences Leadership Board and managing the Collegiate Fund, the College’s annual gift fund. She has a bachelor’s degree with double majors in psychology and journalism from The University of Alabama. She has been employed at the University for 15 years. Prior to coming to the University, she worked in publishing and journalism for 11 years, serving as editor of the Mobile weekly newspaper Azalea City News and Review, editor of Caribbean Today magazine, associate publisher of Inside Alabama Politics, founding editor of Business Alabama Monthly magazine, and editor of Alabama Magazine, respectively.
Susan Halliday

Susan Halliday manages endowed scholarships for the College and coordinates special events. Susan is responsible for The University of Alabama nominations to USA Today’s All-Academic Team and both University and College of Arts and Sciences student awards. She manages and promotes scholarships within The College of Arts and Sciences and with its 26 departments, and serves on a university-wide scholarship committee. She serves as an advisor to the College’s Ambassadors, advisor and regional Faulty-Secretary to the leadership-oriented Omicron Delta Kappa organization, Mortar Board Honor Society, and the service-based Anderson Society. She is an advisor for Students United for a Cure and a member and advisor for The XXXI, an honor society for women in leadership at the University, in the Tuscaloosa community, and within the state of Alabama. Susan also represents the Dean’s Office on the University of Alabama Diversity Oversight Committee. She is recipient of the Virgil Parks McKinley Employee Award recognizing enterprising employees who contribute to the University’s mission of teaching, research and service. Susan holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Auburn University. She has been employed at the University for 16 years and has been in her current position since 1994.
Sarah Colwell

Sarah Colwell is responsible for press information and media relations from the Office of the Dean. She is the editor of the College’s alumni publication, the Collegian, an annual fine and performing arts calendar, the electronic newsletter, DeskTop News, and other publications. She also provides communications support to the director of development and the director of college relations. Sarah attended the University of San Francisco where she earned a bachelor’s degree in history, with double minors in English and philosophy, and graduated from the University’s Saint Ignatius Institute honors program. She was a newspaper reporter for The Davis Enterprise in Davis, Calif., The Gazette in Colorado Springs, Colo. and The Colorado Springs Business Journal in Colorado Springs, Colo., prior to working at The University of Alabama.
